Weblog Award Nomination

After just six weeks in existence, this blog has been named as a Finalist for the Weblog Awards in the category of Best New Blog of 2005 (for blogs created after November 19, 2004) .

Voting begins tomorrow and, according to the rules, each individual computer can be used to vote once every 24 hours. I'm not sure why that is the rule (as opposed to allowing each computer to vote only once over the life of the voting), but that's the rule, and I suspect that there will be at least a few voters taking advantage of that multiple-vote ability.

If you are so inclined, you can vote (beginning tomorrow), and can see all of the finalists, here.

I found your blog from the link in National Review's Corner to your immigration piece. Great blog - very ideologically unpredictable, a rarity these days!

Glenn, congratulations, you have a great new blog, its become one of my must-reads every morning. I agree with you a lot, don't agree with you a lot, and thats what makes it interesting, because most blogs are on one side or the other.

Its always very well-written and substantive, so you have a vote here! Good luck.

Because of the wingnut site that runs it, that vote is HIGHLY skewed towards the right-wing, militarized LGF/Powerline/Instapundit crowd, and there are a few of their little monster spawns nominated in the Best new blog category, so it will be tough. Only that side of the blogosphere votes. But good luck.

  4. Glenn,

Am I allowed to say I love your blog? LOL!

Anyway, I just popped over to let you know that your results don't show because the name of your blog is extended. You might just want to send a quick email to Kevin, and let him know so he can fix it.

All the best, and may the best ahem man win...
